"The Lazy Paddle was the neatest place we’ve ever stayed. Quiet cove with big front porch overlooking fire pit and dock. The kids loved the old school paddle boat & we felt comfortable letting our 9 and 12 year old paddle around, considering there’s almost no traffic that comes through the cove. The kids played in the game room while the adults sat by the fire at night. As if this wasn’t enough, there’s a hot tub, a legit sauna that easily fits 4 people, and a movie theater! I'm Anita – adventure seeker, nature lover, and your host! My husband Brian is a Texas native, and I hail from Indiana, but these days you'll find us exploring the country together, always on the hunt for those hidden gems off the beaten path. We have adult children and a 12-year-old still at home who shares our love of adventure.

Our happy place? Anywhere with mountains, water, and wide-open spaces. Whether we're boating on a quiet lake, catching a breathtaking sunset, or gathering around a bonfire under the stars, we're in our element outdoors, exploring the beauty of God's creation.

Throughout our travels across the US, Canada, and abroad, we've stayed in countless rentals – the good, the great, and the not-so-great. Those experiences taught us exactly what makes a stay truly special. That's why we created this space with one simple goal: to provide everything we'd want in a rental ourselves.

We love meeting new people and hearing about your adventures, and we're passionate about making sure your experience here is comfortable, relaxing, and memorable.

We've called this area home for 30 years, living near and on Smith Mountain Lake, hailed by Travel and Leisure Magazine as "The Lake Tahoe of the East."
